FOUNDATIONS OF AYURVEDIC BODYWORK

FOR MASSAGE THERAPISTS

Ayurvedic Foundations for Modern Massage Therapists is a non-CE, introductory on-line training that teaches massage therapists how to incorporate the essential principles of Ayurveda into their bodywork sessions safely and effectively. Through a modern, therapist-friendly approach, participants learn how to work with oils, understand basic dosha influences, modify session elements, and support client outcomes using time-honored Ayurvedic practices—all without overwhelming theory or stepping outside professional scope. This class is ideal for LMTs who want to enhance their therapeutic presence, deepen their clinical reasoning, and elevate the quality of touch they offer clients. This course establishes the required foundational knowledge for therapists interested in pursuing advanced Ayurvedic bodywork training, including Abhyanga for Chronic Pain Levels 1 & 2.

ABHYANGA FOR CHRONIC PAIN (LEVEL 1)

Abhyanga For Chronic Pain Level 1 is a two-day, hands-on intensive that builds directly on the prerequisite 'Ayurvedic Foundations for Modern Massage Therapists.' This course focuses on the full-sequence skill development, embodied practice, and svedana safety for a 90-minute, single-therapist session. A brief review of foundational Ayurvedic concepts is included for continuity, but no redundant theory blocks are taught. Here, you learn a provisional Basic sequence to satisfy all three doshas.

Abhyanga is a full body, detox & rejuvenation massage using warmed herbal oils specific to the client's constitution or imbalances. It is the hallmark of Ayurvedic massage.

Svedana is a form of heat/fomentation therapy done to conclude an abhyanga for an added detoxifying effect and deeper penetration of botanical formulas thru the skin.  Discover different types of svedana used in classical Ayurveda treatments along with the benefits & contraindications. A steam sauna outfitted for a massage table is taught.

ABHYANGA FOR CHRONIC PAIN (LEVEL 2)

is a one-day advanced training for practitioners who have completed both

'Ayurvedic Foundations' and Level 1. This course emphasizes marma-informed customizations for common pain conditions and integrates fascial mapping with classical Ayurvedic pain theory. A brief review is included for continuity, but the training focuses on hands-on marma application and clinical adaptation of the Basic Sequence.

Shirodhara is a classic rejuvenation treatment for the mind that synchronizes brain waves by pouring a warmed, medicated substance over the 3rd eye where it flows off the crown of the head. Effective for stilling the mind, soothing the nervous system, and balancing moods and sleep patterns.
